After installing

Where Threadclip appears in Outlook and Gmail

Installing from AppSource or Google Workspace Marketplace adds Threadclip to your email account silently — nothing pops up. Where it shows up depends on which email product and surface you use.

Work or school Outlook

outlook.office.com, or Outlook desktop signed into a work account

  1. 1. Open any email.
  2. 2. Look for the Threadclip icon in the toolbar above the message (the ribbon). In some Outlook versions it may sit under Apps or More apps instead.
  3. 3. Click it — the Threadclip pane opens on the right.

Seeing “You need permission to install apps”? That’s your company’s IT policy, not a glitch. Some organizations show a Request approval button right there — otherwise, send your IT team our admin guide.
Personal Outlook

outlook.live.com — @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com addresses

  1. 1. Open any email.
  2. 2. Click Apps (the grid icon) in the toolbar above the message.
  3. 3. Choose More apps → Threadclip.
Tip: once opened, Threadclip stays in your recent apps for next time.

Just installed and don’t see it? Desktop Outlook can take a few minutes to show new add-ins — reopen the email or restart Outlook. The first time Threadclip opens it shows a short code: enter it at threadclip.com/pair to connect your account, and you’re set.

  2. 2. Threadclip lives in the right side panel— the column of icons along the far right edge.
  3. 3. Click the Threadclip icon and the card opens beside the message.
  4. 4. If you don’t see the panel, the small arrow at the bottom-right corner expands it.

Gmail on your phone (iPhone / Android)

Gmail mobile apps

  1. 1. Open any email.
  2. 2. Scroll to the very bottom — past the end of the message.
  3. 3. The add-on icons sit in a row beneath the message body; tap Threadclip and the card slides up.
Installs are per Google account, not per device — install once from the Marketplace and it appears everywhere you’re signed in, including your phone.

Haven’t installed it yet? Either store takes about a minute.
